Facility Manager and/or Prevention Advisor Level II (m/w/x)

Part I: Facility Manager

As Facility Manager (m/w/x), you are responsible for the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of a company’s buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities include contract negotiation, routine inspections, emergency repairs, security coordination (access management), handling intervention requests, ensuring the building/evacuation plan and maintenance planning (including the timely certification and safety checks)

The position involves working across 2 buildings in Zaventem.

As Facility Manager, you play an active role in achieving our ISO objectives:

  • Quality (ISO 9001): managing accurate, traceable procedures and supplier oversight
  • Environment (ISO 14001): contributing to CO₂ reduction and sustainable policies
  • Information Security (ISO/IEC 27001): careful handling of personal data in collaboration with the DPO

Your Key Responsibilities?

Operational Facility Management

  • Oversee day-to-day building operations: intervention request handling, planning & ensuring maintenance/cleaning, building access coordination, logistics & support for employees.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all facility-related questions from employees.
  • Manage requests for repair and monitor HVAC.
  • Ensure that building assets and other equipment (forklifts, elevator, solar panels, charging stations) are functional, maintained, and inspected on time.

Financial & Administrative Overview

  • Contain the facilities budget. Negotiate the best prices from suppliers through tender comparison.

Strategic & Compliance Functions

  • Stay up to date on legal requirements for maintenance & certifications.
  • Propose alternatives to optimize facility costs and reduce environmental impact.

Sustainability & ISO Alignment

  • Ensure compliance of buildings & mobile assets with all ISO certifications (ISO9001, 14001, 27001)

What do you already bring to the table?

  • Bachelor Diploma or equivalent with experience.
  • Medior experience level: minimum 5 years of work experience.
  • Service-minded and communicative – acts as a reliable point of contact for employees, partners, and internal departments.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented – anticipates challenges and proposes improvements, particularly in line with service, sustainability and compliance goals.
  • Organized and structured – capable of managing complex administrative and operational workflows across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ethically aware and responsible – handles sensitive data with integrity and ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Flexible and resilient to stress – remains effective under pressure and adapts to changing legal, technological, and environmental contexts.

Part 2 : Prevention Advisor – Level 2

The Prevention Advisor Level 2 is responsible for promoting and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of employees in the workplace.

They identify risks, propose preventive measures, and support the implementation and follow-up of safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments and propose corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the development of the Global Prevention Plan and Annual Action Plan.
  • Monitor and analyze workplace incidents and accidents.
  • Raise awareness and train staff on safety procedures and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work (CPPT).
  • Ensure compliance with Belgian legislation on workplace well-being.
  • Draft reports and monitor HSE performance indicators.
  • Design and update building layout plans (e.g., storage areas, emergency stations, fire extinguishers, etc.).
  • Ensure accessibility for people with reduced mobility across all facilities.
  • Promote ergonomic practices in workstations and office setups.
  • Manage first aid training programs and ensure sufficient trained staff are available.

What do you already bring to the table?

  • Education: Certified Prevention Advisor Level 2 (recognized training in Belgium).
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
    The role offers a high degree of work autonomy, empowering employees to manage their responsibilities independently and make decisions with confidence
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian health and safety legislation.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Good communication and training skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to read and create technical building plans.
  • Familiarity with ergonomic standards and accessibility regulations.
